The Council of the National Freedom Institute
The Council of the National Freedom Institute – Centre for Civil Society Development is an opinion-issuing body in matters related to NFI-CCSD. It meets at least once every quarter and is appointed for a three-year term.
The Council consists of 11 people:
- Wojciech Jachimowicz (Dolnośląskie Towarzystwo Regionalne [the Dolnośląskie Region Association]) – Chairman,
- Piotr Mazurek (the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, appointed by the Chairman of the Committee for Public Benefit),
- Weronika Czyżewska-Waglowska (the Nationwide Federation of Non-governmental Organisations, represents non-governmental organisations),
- Anna Gembicka (the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, appointed by the Chairman of the Committee for Public Benefit),
- llona Gosiewska (the Odra-Niemen Association, represents non-governmental organisations),
- Ewa Leś (the University of Warsaw, appointed by the Chairman of the Committee for Public Benefit),
- Urszula Nowogórska (representing the Joint Commission of the Government and Local Government),
- Marek Rymsza (the Chancellery of the President of Poland, appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland),
- Sebastian Wijas (the KGHM Polska Miedź Foundation, represents non-governmental organisations),
- Michał Jędrzejczyk (the Ministry of Finance, appointed by the Minister of Finance),
- Tymoteusz Zych (the Ordo Iuris Institute for Legal Culture Foundation, represents non-governmental organisations).
Competences of the Council:
- issuing opinions on the draft annual financial plan and the NFI-CCSD annual activity plan,
- issuing opinions on the annual activity report and financial statements of NFI-CCSD,
- issuing opinions on the project of programmes supporting civil society development,
- issuing opinions on the final report on the implementation of programmes supporting civil society development,
- issuing opinions on the selection of an audit firm to examine the NFI-CCSD annual report,
- reviewing the draft NFI-CCSD regulations,
- approving the regulations of tenders,
- giving consent to dispose of assets of over 200,000 PLN by the NFI-CCSD Director.
